Meredith White is a speech-language pathologist as well as special needs mother to children with autism and other learning challenges. She is recognized by "Apraxia Kids" for Advanced Training and Expertise in Childhood Apraxia of Speech and is certified in orofacial myology (COM) by the International Association of Orofacial Myology (IAOM). Curriculum vitae includes: (September 2016) Walk Coordinator for the Greater Atlanta Area Walk for Childhood Apraxia of Speech; (February, 2017), Presented on the topic of Childhood Apraxia of Speech at the Georgia Speech-Language Hearing Association’s (GSHA) Annual Convention; (February 2018) Presented on the topic of Tongue Tie at for GSHA Convention; (April 2018), Guest lecturer on the topic of Pediatric Motor Speech Disorders for Georgia's State University's graduate school program; (October 2018), Presented on the topic of Childhood Apraxia of Speech and other pediatric motor speech disorders for SLPs serving Atlanta Public Schools.
ELIZABETH BLAIR, M.ED. CCC-SLP
Liz received her BS in Communication Disorders from Auburn University and her MEd from University of West Georgia. Due to a passion for serving children with apraxia of speech, Liz attends many advanced seminars such as the Apraxia Kids National Convention, Kaufman Speech-to-Language Program, and Edyth Strand’s Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (DTTC). Liz is devoted to providing quality, evidence-based therapy. Experience includes: Advanced Training in Childhood Apraxia of Speech, Orofacial Myology, Articulation, Receptive/Expressive Language, AAC, SCERTS , Fluency of speech, Autism and complex kids.
HEATHER PERRY, M.SLP CCC-SLP
Heather received her undergraduate degree from University of Georgia, and her Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from the University of South Carolina. Heather attends advanced seminars for apraxia of speech such as the Apraxia Kids National Convention and Edyth Strand’s Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (DTTC). Experience includes: Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS), Orofacial Myology, Articulation, Receptive/Expressive Language, Autism, AAC, Fluency of Speech, and various diagnoses.
MELISSA MILLER, M.ED. CCC-SLP
Melissa received both her undergraduate and Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Georgia. Melissa holds both school (elementary and high school) as well as and private practice clinical experience. Experience includes: Orton-Gillingham Multisensory approach for Dyslexia, Kaufman approach for Apraxia, Receptive/Expressive Language, Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing for Apraxia, Autism, Fluency of Speech and a wide variety of diagnoses. She is receiving on-going training and supervision in orofacial myology and childhood apraxia of speech.
JOELLYN THOMPSON, M.S. CCC-SLP
Joellyn received her Masters of Science in Speech Pathology from East Tennessee State University. She's a part-time employee of MWSP and was last year's Teacher of the Year at Coralwood School in Dekalb County. Joellyn has seven years experience serving children in the clinical setting, where she became passionate about therapy for feeding and picky eating. Experience includes: SOS Approach for Picky Eaters, pediatric dysphagia, AAC, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, Orofacial Myology, Expressive/Receptive Language, Articulation, Speech Fluency, Autism and complex kids.
LINDSEY HENDRIX, M.S. CCC-SLP
Lindsey received her BS from Texas State University and her MS from West Texas A&M Universities. Lindsey is a contractor with local schools and serves as a part-time employee at MWSP. Lindsey has experience with: Orofacial Myology, Articulation & Phonological Disorders, Receptive-Expressive Language, Fluency of Speech, Autism, and various disorders.
RACHELLE PIERRE, M.ED CCC-SLP
Rachelle received her undergraduate degree from Agnes Scott College and her Masters in Communication Disorders from Georgia State University. Rachelle serves as a part-time employee of MWSP on Wednesday afternoons and Saturday mornings. Rachelle’s work experience comes from the school system for both older and younger elementary-aged kids. She is receiving on-going training in Orofacial Myology.
CAROLYN ALVAREZ Office and Billing Manager
Carolyn received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Arizona State University. In addition to coordinating all insurance billing and accounts receivable, she also oversees all daily clinical operations.
KRISTINA SHERRILL Intake Coordinator
Kristina received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Georgia State University in Linguistics. She now serves as Intake Coordinator by managing all incoming clients, scheduling, payments and clinical reception.
